Walked out of the movies a few weeks back to this. I’ve never had a car where people with the same car purposefully park near me or try and wave at me on the street. It’s pretty cool.

Haha that’s not bad. My wife thinks we’re ridiculous. My sister in law is jealous that we can get so excited over something (who wouldn’t lose thier shit over a couple surprise McLaren’s and Ferrari’s?)

Well to her point, we tend to have a habit of freaking out like a toddler being given their first candy when we see a car do a flyby.

This year at car week I saw P1 GTR roaming the streets and started freaking out for a solid minute of incomprehensible words.

I see at least one identical car to mine around each week. Everytime I think I should wave or something, but then I remind myself I drive a cheapo city car which probably isn’t as special to other people as it is to me, so I refrain from waving.

that was something about when I had my SRT-4. Not that people would wave towards me (they didn’t,) but as they passed or came alongside they’d want to show off the sick “PSSSSHHHH” of their blow-off valves.

My wife understands this phenomenon all too well. Whereas I get giddy over seeing another Mustang on the road, my wife gets the same way over seeing - are you ready for this? - another Yaris on the road. She absolutely loves that car. And finding another Yaris (hatchback only, no sedans) in a parking lot or driving along is an event. Of course, the excitement level increases if the other Yaris is the same color or has the same number of doors as her car. I’ll admit, I join in the fun when we are driving her car... we are always on the lookout for other Yaris’s (Yari? Yars? Yaris’?) HOWEVER - we never have people with the same car purposefully park near us or wave at us on the street. It’s almost as if my wife is the world’s only hatchback Yaris fan...

I had an ex that loved seeing other Subaru’s on the road. She even had a special Subaru call. Man I loved that Forrester. Then again I get excited when I see well kept Tauruses as well as some unremarkable cars that I have never owned.
